Students develop fluency with number, algebra, ratio, proportion and percentages, then use these ideas to solve increasingly complex problems. Geometry and trigonometry cover angles, shapes, coordinates, transformations and relationships between sides and angles. Statistics and probability teach students to represent data, interpret distributions and assess the likelihood of events. At high school level, students also work with graphs, equations and functions and learn to justify solutions with clear mathematical reasoning.
Use short lessons to revisit mathematical methods, follow worked examples, and build confidence before practice or assessment.
Build fluency with variables, expressions, equations, substitution, and the steps used to justify a solution.
Use angle relationships, diagrams, coordinates, and clear reasoning to solve geometry problems.
Interpret tables, charts, averages, and probability models to make sound conclusions from data.
